This is a learning project I created to get familiar with PICO-8, largely following LazyDev's YouTube tutorials.

However, I added my own design twist to this simple shoot-'em-up:
you start with a very rapid fire rate, but holding the shoot button gradually slows it down. Releasing the button lets it recover over time.

The key to mastering the game is learning when to hold and when to release—timing your shots wisely is everything!
